The usability test on Zara's website aimed to evaluate its ease of navigation, functionality, and user satisfaction. Participants were tasked with locating specific products, creating an account, and finding the return policy. Key findings revealed difficulties with filtering options, accessibility of policy information, and text readability. Recommendations included improving filters, enhancing accessibility features, and making critical information easier to locate. These changes aim to improve the website's overall user experience.
For this project, I conducted a usability test to assess the Zara website’s navigation and functionality. I designed tasks simulating real-world scenarios, such as searching for a product, creating an account, and locating the return policy. During the testing phase, I observed participants’ interactions with the site and recorded issues such as poorly visible filters and unclear navigation links.
Post-test, I analyzed participant feedback and task completion times to identify trends. For example, users struggled with text blending into the background, making it difficult to read menus. Additionally, finding essential policies required multiple clicks, which caused frustration.
These insights informed my recommendations, which included enhancing filter options, improving text contrast, and positioning key information prominently. This project honed my skills in usability evaluation, accessibility considerations, and user-focused problem-solving, preparing me to approach future design challenges with a sharper perspective.
